I have a passion for the adolscence girls .Gender-based violence is an international human rights VIOLATION. It is not unique to a particular country or socio-economic strata or culture. Sadly, it is everywhere.

Fortress of Hope Africa (FOHA) is an adolescent girls’ organization aimed at bridging the gap of girls’ isolation in development. Using human rights framework, we seek to promote social and economic status of girls’ through education , leadership and mentorship ,entrepreneurship and sexual and reproductive health and rights interventions

Our interventions are by girls for the girls reaching to the most at -risk girls below 19 years living in underserved communities of Nairobi county (Dandora, Kayole, Mukuru, Mathare and Babadogo Slums), rural Chonyi-Kilifi, Busia, Kisumu and Kakamega Counties. . Our projects benefit girls in and out of school, those who are married, teen mothers, sex workers, living with HIV/AIDS, with disability and survivors of gender based violence

We believe in creating safe spaces for girls to lead, learn, collaborate and explore their full potentials free from stigma and discrimination. Rural and urban poor girls we target are often left out or not able to access life changing opportunities that can; improve their lives and health, increase their access to quality education and enable them to fully exercise their human rightsOur experience has taught us that there is no one-size fit all solution to achieving women and girls’ empowerment, gender equality and women rights. Our interventions have evolved over time, girls lived experiences and realities shape and continue to shape how we formulate/design our interventions. We believe girls are leaders of today and Now! Our role is to provide a plat-form, facilitate and create opportunities for girls to meaningful participation in shaping their lives.
